We… are Holland Startup, a young company (venture builder) that empowers young people to build digital companies. Right from the very start, from helping with forming that awesome golden idea, all the way to the scaleup or exit phase. We were founded end 2014 by 2 entrepreneurs that had the vision of giving back what they once got, namely to give young people an opportunity that they do not get often enough: to found and fund their own company. As Holland Startup has rapidly grown, the partners are now looking for that excellent person to help them make the organization better, more efficient and even faster moving.
You… have 3-5 years work experience as a management assistant, and you are a person that can handle working in an ever-changing environment that is continuously seeking to improve itself. You are that self-starting kinda guy or girl that thrives on coordinating people and processes. You love communicating in various ways and you do that flawless in both Dutch and English, and you have already spotted the linguistic flaws in this description. You can efficiently plan and organize not just yourself, but also those around you. You have a great sense of humour, because frankly none of us do. Really. We don’t.
The job… means that you will be supporting our 3 partners Robbert Jan, René and Maurice, and that you will on occasion deputise for them, making decisions and delegating work to others in their absence. To keep stuff going. You will be working closely with all 3 of them, in a broader range than just preparing, setting up, and partaking in partner meetings every month, quarter and the yearly strategy sessions. You will also be managing them and part of their calendars and external relations. They will frequently ask you to ‘find something out’ for them, and you know how to report that effectively and balanced.
It also means that you will be supporting our community of entrepreneurs, doing daily chores such as office management, arranging community (social) events, and you will make sure our workshop programme is functioning well. Having said something about those very hands-on thingies, your last focus of attention will be supporting the partners in the tasks revolving around our investment fund. You will plan and manage investor events, support fund-responsible people in follow-up actions, and take care of investor communication such as newsletters and reporting.
We offer… you a full-time job that will offer you a learning environment, and the opportunity to grow with us. You will be rewarded a monthly salary of €2.500 – €2.750 brut, on top of which you will receive travel expenses, as well as holiday money. Living in (the vicinity of) Utrecht is a prerequisite.
